"I can't think of a funny quote."
In light Valentine’s Day I
made some comics specifically for the occasion. Now, I already know that
some people will find these comics to be mean spirited, so I’ll explain
this up front. I hate Valentine’s Day. Now I know most people would respond
that I only hate Valentine’s Day because I’m single and have been so for
quite some time, however that is not the case. I hate Valentine’s Day because
it’s an insincere and sappy commercialization of “love”. The entire point
of the holiday is supposed to inspire us to buy shit in order to show our
significant others how much we care for them; which itself is an absurd concept.
So to summarize, I refuse to celebrate or acknowledge that Valentine’s Day
is nothing than a ploy of the De Beers Diamond Company to get you to buy
diamonds at heavily inflated prices.
